Red Faction: Armageddon
This 2011 Third Person Shooter was a disappointment for most people of the Red Faction series. The game play was good, the story line was average and the online multiplayer was Mediocre at best. The game brings back destructible environments but that doesn't compare to the mediocre play of the Multiplayer system. The multiplayer system pits you against endless waves of alien enemies. The multiplayer requires ranking up to gain more weapons and an advantage.
The Single player is better, it has an average form of single player. Taking on the classic run and gun shooting that Third Player games take place of. The Lock on System is really responsive but the thing is, when you are near barrels or something explosive that when they're fired upon explode if you're near it, you'll end up badly hurt.
This game brings back the Nano-Forge from the third part of the series. If your explosion causes a bridge or another game play item to disappear you can bring it back quickly by tapping RB. Also many of the mission requires that you do certain things with the Nano-Forge.
The Sound quality of the game is excellent, with surround sound you can really take on the game. The explosions in the background and gunshots in the front and the sides are all shown up excellently.
Audio - 10
Gameplay - 9
Multiplayer - 4
Graphics - 8
Replay - 4
Overall Rating 6/10
Pick this up as a rental.
